Attorneys: Focused on handling trademark, TTB, and federal law matters for businesses all over the US and the world. But, because every state's alcohol laws are different, their state law practice is restricted to North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
I met John at the NC Brewers Guild event and got a chance to discuss with him what his team at the Beer Law Center is doing for breweries in that region of the US. Not only is John's team familiar with the legal issues within the beverage industry, but he is the first to say when there is an issue, or ask in an area that might be a better for someone else. For example, John talks with breweries all over the US, but sometimes will be quick to refer them to an attorney in their state who is better suited to address legal issues that are unique to that area. I think it's easy to claim that you can do it all, but found it a great partnership basis to start working with the Beer Law Center on the premise that they want to be a resource to the beverage industry. If they can help, great. If they can't, they will work hard to point you in the right direction.
